Merasta Charity Foundation is a non-profit organization established in 2018 by a group of social workers in Kabul, Afghanistan. Our primary goal is to address the humanitarian needs of vulnerable communities affected by war and poverty. Through our various initiatives, including education and sustainable development projects, we aim to make a positive impact on the lives of those in need.

Addressing Challenges and Creating Hope: Merasta Charity Foundation's Mission in Afghanistan
Life in Afghanistan remains challenging for many individuals. As of 2021, over 60% of the country's population is under the age of 25 (UNFPA). The country also hosts more than 3.5 million refugees, returnees, and internally displaced people (UNHCR, 2021). Tragically, child mortality rates remain high, with over 1 in 20 children dying before reaching the age of five (World Bank, 2019). Additionally, 41% of Afghan children under the age of five suffer from stunting (UN World Food Programme, 2020).
At Merasta Charity Foundation, we recognize the pressing need to address these issues and improve the lives of the most vulnerable communities in Afghanistan.
